The diploma: Certificate of Professional Qualification for Sailing Initiators (CQP IV)


Its content has evolved by taking into account
The new teaching approach of the French Sailing Federation.
The development of an assistant instructor function.

The trainee must be licensed at all times during the training and at all times during the instruction of the file (jury and edition of the diploma included) but also during all the periods when he will supervise as an instructor.




What does it mean?

It is a training which takes place in alternation and distinguishes :

3 areas : 

SECURITY

ANIMATION

TEACHING
 

6 units of competence :

UCC1 : To secure the context of practice - Obligatory before any setting in situation with a public support.

UCC2 : To encourage the development of preventive attitudes in the participant.

UCC3 : To allow a maximum practice time.

UCC4 : Maintain the commitment of the participants.

UCC5 : To intervene to accelerate the progress of the participants.

UCC6 : To evaluate the level of autonomy of the participants.




What are the steps of the training ?


1. Experience as an assistant instructor :

Access conditions:
To be at least 15 years old.
FFVoile license and medical certificate of the current calendar year.
Technical level 3 FFVoile.
Parental authorization for minors.

2. Prerequisites for entry into training:

Access conditions:
Must be at least 16 years old.
FFVoile license and medical certificate of the current calendar year.
Technical level 4 FFVoile.
Swimming certificate (100 meters) and passage under a surface obstacle of 1 meter in length.
Boat license.
First aid training (AFPS / PSC1).
Parental authorization for minors.



3. Alternating pedagogical training :

160 hours minimum spread over 5 weeks, make-up sessions may be required.
3 areas.
6 units of competence

SECURE
UCC 1 : To secure the context of the practice.
UCC 2 : To encourage the development of preventive attitudes in the participants.

ANIMER
UCC 3 : Allow a maximum practice time.
UCC 4 : Maintain the commitment of the participants.

TEACH
UCC 5 : To intervene to accelerate the progress of the participants.
UCC 6 : To evaluate the level of autonomy of the participants.



4. Certification :

End of cycle certificate valid for 4 months.
Validation by a FFVoile jury.
Delivery of the diploma by the FFVoile (18 years old).
